Ice-Cream in a Bag: Scientific Lab Report

Hypothesis
It is going to freeze

We are doing this experiment because … 
We want to see what happens when salt is added to ice and if Ice-cream can be made with only a few ingredients.

Materials/equipment used: 

  • Milk, sugar, ice, salt, vanilla, 
  • Cup 
  • Spoons 
  • Snaplock bags 2 different sizes 


Procedure

  • In a small resealable plastic bag, combine whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla. Push out excess air and seal.
  • Into a large resealable plastic bag, combine ice and salt. Place small bag inside the bigger bag and shake vigorously, 7 to 10 minutes, until ice cream has hardened.
  • Remove from bag and enjoy.


Results 

  • The ice melted, 
  • It tasted sweet
  • It turned into icecream
  • It was coid 
  • Crun chy
  • It was white
  • There was no smell

Data and analysis
 

The other groups icecream was the same, they all looked smooth, creamy icey
All look the same.

Conclusion
I Learnt that lcecream can be Made with a Friv ingredients. It was  creamy and Delicious.

  1. I loved how you did everything in order and you had instructions for how to make it if someone wanted to. I loved how you even added in pictures for how it turned out and what it looked like when it was done. This year i also made ice-cream in a bag with my class and it was so fun. maybe next time you could try putting numbers in your procedure so you know when to do what in order.:)

    This is amazing because ice cream doesn’t melt only in summer or sometimes spring.
    You taught me that ice cream can be made sweeter.
    How come you used ice cream for your experiment not something else.
    Why did you make ice cream but with different ingredients to make more crunchy or less crunchy?
